NG-CDF to Build Classrooms, Purchase Buses For Malava Schools
Constituency fully embarked on school buses and storey classrooms construction as one way of improving education and enrolment in schools.

Schools within Malava constituency will starting next financial year 25/26 benefit fully from the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) allocation.
The Malava MP Malulu Injendi who is the patron of the constituency fund, has announced that it was time the constituency fully embarked on school buses and storey classrooms construction as one way of improving education and enrolment in schools.

Addressing the locals during the just ended constituency public participation led by the constituency fund manager Humphrey Sechero and NGCDF chairperson Everlyne Wawire the committee confirmed that plans were underway to ensure that each ward have two schools with storey building and two school buses as a way of equitable distribution of resources.
According to the fund Manager, there was zeal to equip all the sub county schools with all the necessities raised in their proposals but due to the guidelines given by the government on how CDF should be utilized, only those falling under the three categories, education, security and climate change and mitigation (environment).

He, however, observed that most schools did not have land for expansion and hence the introduction of storey buildings.
On buses, he said it was important for each ward to have two school buses that will be used with the schools within and the community to their advantage.
"As a committee we have agreed with the Mp that it will be easier to set up storey buildings in our schools to not only give good facelift but also increase enrolment in schools" he said.
Most schools with school buses and storey buildings have high enrolment against the normal ones without "and to keep our pupils and students from opting to join those upgraded schools we felt we can also upgrade ours to retain them within the sub county" he said.
