Robert Chelagat Fulfils Promise to Koyorus Primary School
Chelagat said the gesture was part of his deliberate effort to give back to his community and support local institutions, no matter how small the need.
Baringo Central parliamentary aspirant Hon. Robert Chelagat this morning lived true to his word at Koyorus Primary School, fulfilling a promise he made during his visit to the institution last week.
As captured in the photos this morning 19 October 2026, 07:33 am Chelagat, in his signature light blazer and walking stick, personally delivered a brand new football and a Kenyan national flag to the school located in his backyard.
In one photo, Chelagat is seen holding the ball high for the pupils to see, flanked by two learners in school uniform. In another, he and a teacher jointly hand over the ball to the excited pupils.
In the third image, the team proudly holds the new national flag against the background of the school's classrooms, ready to be hoisted.
Chelagat said the gesture was part of his deliberate effort to give back to his community and support local institutions, no matter how small the need.
"This is about keeping our promises to our children. Football will keep them active and away from vices, while the flag will remind them daily that they belong to a great nation," he said.
The football is expected to boost sports and talent nurturing in the school, while the national flag will be central during parades, promoting patriotism, national unity and pride among learners.
For the pupils of Koyorus, it was a morning of joy - proof that their visitor last week did not just talk, but returned to act.
Chelagat, who continues to traverse the constituency ahead of 2027, has made grassroots presence and fulfilling small pledges the hallmark of his early campaign.
