It is now official that Malava parliamentary seat aspirant Seth Panyako will vie for the by-election seat through unpopular United Democratic Party ( UDP).

The move has gotten many unawares days after speaker of National Assembly Moses Wetangula-led delegation visited Malava and declared Panyako as their Ford-Kenya preferred candidate, afficiate party of the ruling United Democratic Party (UDA).

"I was happy when the speaker and other leaders visited Malava to declare their trust and interest in me as their candidate, but I'm hearing our Western leaders were being threatened by the state operatives" he said.

The Kenya National Union of Nurses Secretary General joins list of 42 aspirants eying for upcoming by-election to fill the seat left by the late MP Moses Malulu Injendi.

Panyako however pulled a surprise card leaving many people in shock and confused doubting the popularity of UDP, Cyrus Jirongo's party that currently has no single Mp representative in parliament.

Speaking in South Kabras in Malava constituency,Panyako defended his decision stating that it was meant to protect the speaker from the onslaught threats being administered by some government officials to impeach him if he continues to brace for Panyako's Ford Kenya candidature.

He said that has made him make bold decision of choosing another Luhya led party that will safeguard leaders including Wetangula and Natembeya from humiliation and threats.

"I assure you that I will deliver this seat via this UDP party which I'm the secretary general" Panyako said.

He blasted the government for intimidating those who stand up against their alleged atrocities and reminded them that the country was headed the wrong direction.

"It is me who was the national vice chairman of UDA and it's me who took you people there but I'm sorry for say the party is now filthly stinking from it's series of killings and mismagement of country resources" he said.

He named the complicated Social Health Authority (SHA) registration and payment that is charging the common mwananchi exorbitantly unlike NHIF which was flat rate and fair to its members.

He added that most of the hospitals lack drugs while KEMSA was sleeping on the job letting drugs expire in their stores.

"Many patients are in need of drugs in hospitals and yet our KEMSA stores officials have left drugs to expire in the stores" he said.

He called on the voters to elect him to go to parliamebt and represent them shape and get the needed development.
