Invest in Talents to Safeguard your Future, Learners told
Said talent has been identified as the next big paying investment for the young people who can use their specialty and turn it into an income generating venture.

Learners have been urged to take their talents seriously as it could shape their future in terms of economic empowerment.
A renowned author and scholar Dr. Henry Indindi who was the guest of honor at the Chimoroni senior school during their first ever cultural day to be held at the institution, encouraged the students to unlock their potentiality by identifying their hidden talents and nurture them accordingly.
Dr. Indindi said he was ready to assist in giving direction on how best the students can be assisted in realizing their talents by linking them to the relevant talent tapping organization from the Media, sports and fashion industries.
He noted that talent has been identified as the next big paying investment for the young people who can use their specialty and turn it into an income generating venture.
"For example sports like soccer and athletes brings millions of cash to the participants and has continued to attract more sportsmen and women to follow suit” he said.
He at the same time encouraged the students to multi tasks between their talents and other profession they might be also pursuing too.
The school principal Dr. Joyce Burudi stated that she had realized a lot of untapped opportunities at the institution beside the academic performance and hence took the initiative to unlock them.
The newly posted Principal said she wanted to bring new and fresh ideas at the institution adding that it was the way to go in accordance with the demands for more talents driven opportunities globally.
“We have seen our sportsmen minting money from sports and the demand is huge and vast, and the best we can is to this early start encouraging and nurturing various talents these learners possess and todays’ event is a true witness of what our students’ habours in terms of talents,” she said.
Dr. Burudi added that as a school, she will continue to unlock more opportunities to allow more students align themselves with their respective talents and pursue them as an economic empowerment.

During the event the school through the partnership with Africa wear unit an event organizing firm, they held a series of event at the school including beauty pageant, news reading, body building, spoken words, poetry, public speaking, modern dance, singing category and modelling that saw Victor Luya, and Idah Shem being crowned Mr. and Miss Chimoroni senior school 2026/27.
She promised to make the event an annual one considering the massive feedback received from the community.
“This is the first ever talent show to be held here and we are impressed by the outcome so far and we have decided to be having it each year starting 2027 as we look forward to create a better world for our young people”, she noted.
She observed that the (UNESCO) recognizes the need to safeguard our heritage and traditions and this has also attracted tourists who throng the country to have a feel our heritage and our young people are learning to keep our traditions alive through dance and attire display
