Learners within Vihiga County have been urged to take their education seriously as it will determine their future.

While addressing students the Bunyore girls national school community in Vihiga County during their for their annual general meeting (AGM), Principal secretary state department higher education and research Dr. Beatrice Inyangala congratulated the school on its consistent record of exemplary academic performance and commended the coveted efforts of the board of management (BOM), teachers, parents and students for their collective commitment to excellence.

Dr. Inyangala who was the guest of honor during the ceremony encouraged the girls to remain focused, disciplined and determined in their studies terming as education as the surest pathway to unlocking opportunities and building their brighter future.

She hailed the good recorded Kenya certificate of secondary education 2025(KCSE) foe emerging position 14 countrywide with a mean of 9.81 adding that the government will continue to support the school achieve its target academically.

At the same time she called on the girls to keep off boy girl relationship and concentrate on their studies as there will be time for that when they are finally employed and settled in life.

The Principal Secretary challenged the girls to grasp the education opportunities and excel in life as the country was in need of more women leaders.

She said the girl child had the goodwill of the government with many girls being given opportunities to further their studies with much emphasis being put in place to ensure they stay in school.

The leader called on the parents and guardians to continue supporting their children by providing a nurturing environment that enables them to thrive academically and personally.

“In our schools today are tomorrow's leaders, innovators, professionals and nation builders and by investing in their education, we are investing in the future prosperity of our country,” she stated.

She noted that education of girls should be embraced by the community as educating girls was a plus to the whole society.
