Leaders drawn from the united opposition are demanding answers following the untimely and mysterious death of the former Lugari Mp Cyrus Jirongo.
Led by the Wiper Party leader who was also flanked by the democratic people’s party (DCP) Rigathi Gachagua, the leaders are asking for answers to unravel the truth surrounding Jirongo’s death.
Speaking in Gigiri Nairobi at the home of the fallen leader when they visited to condole with the family, Kalonzo Musyoka poked holes in the circulating stories concerning the death of Jirongo saying that they were not adding up completely.
Also present was Dap Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa and Justin Muturi.
Kalonzo who termed Jirongo as a fearless and straight shooting politician in Kenyan political arena said it was time the family and Kenyans at large knew the truth before the laying to rest of the politician.
The Wiper leader said with this era of artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced technology, it was easy for anyone to be traced wherever he was.
“We are not saying that is what happened but we are not ruling out any possibility considering the sequence of event that happened during that fateful night and early morning, we are exhausting any possible channels that could have been used to trace his whereabouts and his eventual crash that cost his life”
The DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua said there were to many unanswered questions hence the need for a speedy and credible investigation to state the true cause of death and how it transpired.
He rubbished the ongoing stories being fed to the Kenyan public and family as not consumable as they lacked the nitty gritty and substantial information concerning the true cause of death.
Gachagua challenged those who were and have been close friends to the late to come out and give their stories concerning the bis death.
"So far what we are being fed on is not adding up and we are calling to those who were with the late, those closer to him to speak out,why are they silent and Kenyans know who they are and demands to hear their version of what took place,"he challenged.
He called on the speaker of the national assembly Moses Wetangula and other friends who were with Jirongo that fateful night to give clarity on the matter noting that it was only the driver of the bus who was narrating the ordeal yet the late met with a handful of revellers in Karen.

The chairman of the funeral committee and at one time Westlands Mp Fred Gumo however has disclosed his yesterday's meeting and discussion with Wetangula over their meeting with the late where the speaker agreed to having a planned meeting with Jirongo at a Karen club.
"I met the speaker and I personally asked him about their meeting and he explained that the two had agreed to meet for some talk about 8:00pm at Karen where they sat and enjoyed themselves with other revellers until 9:30pm when the speaker excused himself and left the deceased with three friends including the club owner. Gumo further narrates how former Hamisi Senator George Khaniri called Jirongo at 11:30pm urging him to go home as it was getting late. He however raises queries as to what could have happened between the time he left Karen and how he ended up in Naivasha is to be unravelled by the detectives and probably the tomorrow's postmoterm exercise. We are eagerly waiting for the postmortem results and we will have our team to witness the exercise to also ensure that no fowl play happens as we wait the true cause of death, and in the meantime burial program is underway and we expect many mourners to attend, meanwhile we are banking on the sleuths and the postmortem results to give us the true cause of our brother's death."
