Development in Malava constituency gains momentum just two weeks after by-election that saw UDA candidate David Ndakwa elected as area Member of Parliament.

The National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) Director Naomi Shiyonga while leading a delegation from the (NG-CDF) headquarters in Nairobi to inspect various projects within Malava lauded the constituents for electing a government based candidate (David Ndakwa) as he was the reason for the immediate and speedy inspection and completion of pending projects within.

Shiyonga, fondly known as Mama signal, said it was wise for the residents to stay and support government of the day re-assuring them that more goodies were on the way coming.

“We appreciate your unwavering support towards the Kenya Kwanza administration that has now joined ranks with ODM to form the broad based government led by our able President William Ruto, and it is to this effect that the government is keen to develop Malava ahead of the 2027 general election.” 

She called on the locals to display the same spirit of togetherness come 2027 to see President William Ruto secure his second term as this will also attract more development to the region. 

The director cautioned the locals against being politically derailed by the opposition citing that it had severe consequences as far the government support to the constituency is concerned.

“You have seen how the government has stood with us since the demise of our Mp early this year and the development in Malava has been significant throughout, so why would we want to discard the government and join the opposition that has nothing to offer to us, let us hold ground and support William Ruto in 2027 and our constituency will transform completely” she assured.

She noted the Malava Navakholo ongoing Bitumen road, the Kenya medical training college Malava campus and a string of infrastructures within as assign that the government was willing to revamp the constituency to greatness.

Mama signal who is also preparing for her political comeback in 2027 said it was important to be in government if the constituency wanted tangible and faster development.

“As you can see we have traversed this constituency inspecting (NG-CDF) projects, including storey 8 classrooms in Malava comprehensive school in Shirugu Mugai ward, Kakoyi junior secondary school, East Kabras ward) construction of 29 roomed Imbiakalo police station (West Kabras ward) and Luhokho primary 4 classrooms donated by (NG-CDF) board at Ksh 8Million (South Kabras ward), this is the kind of development we want to see in Malava.”

She observed that education was key hence her office donation of the Ksh 8Million for the classrooms at Luhokho primary.

The delegation consisted of principal secretary state department for economic planning Bonface Makokha, chief executive officer Yusuf Mbunwa, chairman (NG-CDF) board Olago Oluoch.
