A 36-year-old man burnt to death in a fire incident.

A 36-year-old man perished in a fire at Kathare village in Karumandi ward, Gichugu Constituency, in Kirinyaga County.

The residents said that Edwin Mwendia was completely destroyed by fire that started on Saturday night.

David Muthike claims that after their parents passed away two years ago, Mwendia and his twin brother have resided in a different home.

When police officers came on the scene after the alarm was raised, residents stated that the intense fire completely destroyed his wooden house before his remains were removed.

Johnson Wachira, the commander of the Gichugu sub-county police, stated that as the body was being transported to the mortuary, police began an inquiry.
