TAWE movement is unstoppable, Trans-Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has said.

 Natembeya tells residents of the former Western Province predominantly dominated by the Luhya Community to look at the unfolding political events in a different way.

"We are saying TAWE to intimidations, Poverty, non inclusion in Political and Military appointments. Those thinking I'm joking should wait and see," He said.

He was speaking today while condoling with the mourners, family, and friends of retired Commissioner of Kenya Police Service George Omukata in Kiungani, in Nabiswa ward Kiminini Sub County.

He later condoled with the family of the late businessman Shadrach Mamai Tindi in Kinyoro in Saboti.

Governor Natembeya underscored his commitment to allievate runaway poverty in the region through economic empowerment plans, including Kazi Mashinani and Nawiri fund.

He mourned Omukata as a successful family man who raised a generation of successful people of high repute in the society.

"I received the message of his passing with deep sorrow. Omukata really helped clear traffic for me at a phone call after I had left government, " Natembeya said.

He said indeed the late Commissioner was a shining star in the community.

"As a long-serving security officer, he helped many people who contribute to the progress of our Country "

Besides his exploits as a police officer, he remembered late Omukata as a man of great faith and influence [whose success can be seen through his family and benefactors].

The county boss reiterated his commitment to working with like-minded leaders and professionals in bringing about a new political order.

In attendance was Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi. The Governor was accompanied with Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries Development CECM Phanice Khatundi.

Present also were Trade and Industrialization Chief Officer Kennedy Etyang Seme, Ward representatives Kisiang'any Wambwa ( Machewa) , his Saboti Counterpart Bonface Cheloti and the Governor's Personal Assistant Emmanuel Wamalwa.
