Seven suspects in the Bomet gang-rape incident caught on video arrested.

Bomet police have detained seven people in connection with a gang rape that was caught on film and circulated on social media.
According to Bomet County Police Commander Robinson Ndiwa, the seven were apprehended in the Olbutyo region of the Chepalungu sub-county and are currently being interviewed at the Chebunyo police station before being charged.
Ndiwa stated that two of the suspects apprehended have been positively identified as Anderson Mutai, 38, and Weldon Sigei, 21 years old. The two allegedly took part in the terrible deed.

According to the county police head, the video was filmed last year and was shared on social media channels yesterday. The lady involved in the event has yet to be identified and traced.
"The incident was not reported to us. We are doing everything we can to process the entire situation. "The law prohibits such content from being distributed or displayed anywhere," the officer continued.
Area head Edwin Barusei stated that the main suspect, Anderson Mutai, was hosting the recorded video.
