Police arrest the leader of the notorious 'panga boys' group that terrorises Mombasa civilians.

On Sunday, April 7th, police in Mombasa captured Abdulkadir Mohamed, the leader of the dreaded Kibokoni Panga Boys, who had been terrorising Kibokoni villagers.
Abdulkadir was apprehended by Mombasa Central Police officers who acted on intelligence while he was at a football match on Sunday evening.

In connection with his detention, the defendant and his brother Hassan Noor were recorded on tape terrorising locals of Kibokoni.
In October 2023, the two were involved in an assault on residents, resulting in one person suffering serious injuries from a machete.
Since the incident, authorities have been looking for Abdulkadir and his brother.
