I dont intend to sell Kenyan airport, says Ruto
He says he is just seeking public-private engagement to improve it

President William Ruto dismisses report by sections of the Kenyans saying plans were underway to sell Jomokenyatta international airport to an Indian private company.
Speaking in Mombasa on Sunday, Ruto says his government is only looking for investors to expand the airport and to ensure it serves Kenyans better under public-private partnership.

"I have people saying we want to sell JKIA, am I mad? How do you sell a strategic national asset, we just want to work under a private public-partnership program to make the airport better, " he said.
The president says machines at the airport were becoming old hence, there is a need to modernise them.
"We are 10 years behind in modernising our airport so we need to work with investors to improve it," Ruto said.
