Report Responsibly, Ruto tells Media Covering Gen Zs Protests
Ruto says the Media has nothing to be proud of while the country is in chaos.

Media has been called upon to report responsibly Geneneration Zoomers(Gen Zs) protests that have bedevilled the country since June.
President Dr William Ruto Sunday warned journalists not to celebrate arnachy in their reporting. Instead, they should be responsible in their coverage.
“I request the media to report responsibly. Reporting, celebrating and encouraging violence, destruction of property, anarchy, and mayhem is irresponsible,” the President said.
He was speaking in Bomet county, where he attended church service before addressing a rally.
Ruto says the Media has nothing to be proud of while the country is in chaos.
He said Media should not cover or report statements that may increase chaos in Kenya.
The president says everybody, including the media, has a duty to ensure the country enjoys peace.
He added that when the country is headed in chaos, there is nowhere the Media will give information to.
This comes barely a week after the Communication Authority of Kenya (CAK) warned the media houses on covering the protest in a way that is contrary to the laws of the country.
CAK director David Gwanyo says the main duty of the media is to cover and report information that may not bring chaos in Kenya.
