Will AFC Crush Gor Mahia?

AFC Leopards CEO Albert Wesonga is confident that his team will crush arch- rivals Gor Mahia in the Mashemeji Derby Sunday.

Speaking Saturday evening during a dinner at the Kenya School of Government,the CEO said it will be a do or die game, asking the players to ensure that they score against Gor Mahia.

He expressed confidence in the team , saying " Even if AFC Leopards may not win the League, We must send Gor Mahia packing ", he said.

Club Chairman Dan Shikanda expressed confidence in the team saying that they will emerge victorious when they will take on Gor Mahia in the FKF-PL fixture dubbed Mashemeji derby on Sunday at Nyayo Stadium.

Gor Mahia secured a 2-0 victory over AFC Leopards at Kasarani Stadium in the first leg, which Ingwe hosted then under coach Tom Juma, this time the new tactician Thomas Trucha vowing to turn tables against Gor Mahia.

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya who was represented by County Secretary Truphosa Amere said his administration will partner with the football powerhouse to ensure the talent is nurtured to the next level.

“We ready to collaborate with AFC to ensure that the team gets strengthened.The players morale is our top most priority so that they may perform better ", said the Governor's representative.

Gor have won the Kenyan Premier League title 20 times while Ingwe have claimed it 12 titles. The highly anticipated derby is scheduled to kick off at 3:00pm with the Trans Nzoia Governor expected to attend.
