Man inTrans Nzoia stoned to death over debt allegations

In Kaplamai, Trans Nzoia County, a mob is being sought by detectives after they stoned a 27-year-old man to death over allegations of a monetary debt.
Police found the body of David Wanjala Waswa after receiving a tip from a community elder.
When police arrived on the scene, they discovered that the man had been killed because he was allegedly in debt to someone.
Waswa was stoned to death on March 21 night, according to authorities, on suspicion of having an unspecified debt.
According to police, Waswa got into a fight with two guys who are now being investigated as persons of interest prior to the incident.

As part of the investigation into the murder, a group of detectives is pursuing the two.
According to the police, they are treating this as a murder.
Locals who fled the site following the tragic event claimed police they were told the deceased was a thief, but later found out it was a money dispute.
