Suspend Protests, Allow President Stabilize the Nation, Bishop Ole Sapit tells Gen Zs

The Gen Z protesters are asked to suspend their protest to give the government time to transform the country.
Speaking to the Media Friday, Arch, Bishop Anglican Church of Kenya Reverent Olesapit says President William Ruto should be given adequate time to make major changes in his government.
However, he congratulates the president for having listened to the voice of people by making major changes such as signing of IEBC amendment bill 2024 into law, firing of cabinet secretaries and resignation of inspector general of the police among others.
"We speak to protesters to suspend the protest and give the government time to attend to the raffle demands some of which the president has begun to address including signing of the IEBC amendment bill 2024 into law, resignation of the inspector general of the police among others" says Ole' Sapit.
Moreover, the Bishop says as a church they will always monitor and report any progress that has been made and ensure that whatever has been submitted should be implemented.
Olesapit also urges the government to quickly implement some grievances demanded by the people such as reducing the budget of the state and closing of the accounts of the corrupt government officials.
"The government must come up in the next one week with an implementation method of these demands and make it available for public monitoring" he said.
Further said there is much talk in creating employment for the youths, "let this be done by creating a genuine action,we ask the government to lead his government to develop and implement a masson plan to address what we are calling the youths agenda which are employment, enterprise and education" he said.
Bishop Ole Sapit also asks the government to stop further imposing taxes in Levi such as housing Levi and the unjust fuel Levi.
