Kericho leaders have been advised to put a side their differences and instead focus on their mandates by working closely with national government in delivering services to electorates.

Former Energy Cabinet Secretary Charles Keter noted that wrangles amongst leaders in the county had not only retarded developments but scared away potentially investors and donors.

"No one would wish to visit a family which is locked in a constant fight. The potential investors, donors would give a wide- berth such homes untill the feud is over. By the time the dust had settled down, the five years time would have been squandered with no tangible developments," he said.

Keter pleaded with the county leaders to burry their hatchets and solves their difference amicably without washing their dirty linients in public.

Keter pleaded with the irate MCAs who are after Dr Mutai to hold their horses and instead explore several other silent avenues to address their grivances including invoking relevant agencies, appetrators even elders.

Removal of Dr Mutai at this point in time, Keter asserted would not solve the county woes but exposses deep rooted disconnect amongst its leaders, waste of time and resources.

"Give him, Dr Mutai a humble time to complete his term and deliver his mandates. What will be left, i would wish to complete within one year period if given a chance to take over from him in 2027 by God's will," he said amid cheers of applause from the crowd.

Keter broke an ice- bag by openly declaring that he will be on the ballot box for governorship post comes 2027 general elections and urged the jubilant public members to rally behind him to reclaim the county's lost glory.

"Let rancor subside and division be healed for the sake of the electorates who elected you but your dis-unity was a stambling block for both national and international organizations who wish to acess to the ground for bottom up socio economic transformations," he said.

Keter who is the senior adviser of head state on Great Lake region matters made the remarks during the passing out of boys -to - men ceremoney after completing two months successful initiations.

The former long serving Belgut Member Parliament noted that Kenya Kwanza government was moving at a high speed, racing against time frames and constitutionaly laid programmes of which any lacklustre leader would not get an iota chance to obstract or squander.

However Keter diffuses hue and cries from county citizens who claimed that the President Wiliam Ruto had shortchanged them despite supporting overwhelmingly in 2022.

"As a county leader i will not sit on the fence and watch thing go heywire. I have tiptoed to President Ruto office and ask him about arrangement for the county. He disclosed to me that all the pledges made would fulfilled and will not be deterred by any leader or wrangles," he revealled.
