Governor Barchok amplifies women voices as county celebrate women's day

Women are an integral part of the society. They are the foundation of a strong formidable family, country and their contribution to the development of a nation is immeasurable.
Women constitutes the huge populace driving economic and social development of the society contributing to country’s GDP.
Governor Prof Hillary Barchok was honoured to join the great people of Bomet on this day.
She thanked the County for celebrating women's achievements and their success in economic empowerment and investment in all aspects.

Bomet Governor Prof Hillary Barchok confirmed that his administration strongly believes that empowering women is empowering the whole community.
This belief is reflected in many easily accessible quality services delivered closer to them across the County ranging from health services, agricultural inputs, business startups, social services among others.
The Governor said that Bomet is at the forefront in advocating for women's rights and empowering them noting that despite the significant progress made by women, they have also faced several challenges among them Gender Based Violence (GBV), inequality in Education, Menstrual Health Hygiene, and said discrimination persist in our society.

The Governor committed that his government is working tirelessly to address those issues and create more equitable society for all in amplifying the voice of women, celebrating their successes and recognize their contributions.
