Leaders condemn teenage pregnancies, rape in Makueni county women's day celebrations.

Today being a day to celebrate all the women in the world, Makueni county joined the world in celebrating the day in an event led by the county's Women representative Rose Museo at Kyumani, Masongaleni ward in Kibwezi east constituency, Makueni county.

 Among other things Museo has championed a lot on the rights of women and also on women empowerment.

The kibwezi subcounty has had issues concerning domestic violence and mistreatment of young women, cases of rape, early pregnancies and abortions.

She cited example of the latest case on a school girl at Kyaani primary school where a girl was impregnated by a BOM chair condemning vices of men impregnating young and school girls.

Among othe leaders at the event was Makueni county senator Daniel Kitonga Maanzo and Masongaleni MCA Brian Nzoka.
