Kuppet Teachers from Four Branches Flock Kericho Town, Compel TSC to Honour Protests
They said they will not go back to classroom to teach until all their demands are fulfilled in totality

Teachers from four counties converge at Moi's Gardens Kericho to compel their employer Teachers Service Commission(TSC) to implement all KUPPET demands.
Protest brought on board teachers from Bomet, Nyamira and Nakuru counterparts to pressurise TSC to implement unconditionally all what they are demanding since it's their right and not a privilege.
As the KUPPET strike entered its second week on Monday,Kerichos KUPPET branch Executive Secretary Mary Rotich insisted saying they will not go back to work.
"Our members will not whatsoever resume duty until a return to work formula is put in black and white" Rotich said.
She said they will not go back to classroom to teach until all their demands are fulfilled in totality.
"TSC is buying time on helpless teachers who for years have been surviving on shoe string budgets to run their domestic matters," she said.
Furthermore, she said the commission had enough resoto pay teachers all outstanding dues.
As it was last week when the peaceful teachers kick off the strike,paralyzing business activities in Kericho town,the same happend in the towns Central business district and the bussy Kericho- Nakuru highway.
Motorists on the busy highway were temporarily halted when the striking teachers snacked from Moi's Gardens into the towns bussy CBD before converging back at the Gardens.
They later stormed the county's TSC offices in an attempt to flash out the commission officials.
But an officer manning the main entrance would not let them go in.
They were planning to walk up to the 10th floor occupied by Imarisha Sacco Plaza, which is owned by the teachers themselves.
