Proposed Baringo University Remains in Limbo
Kabarnet High School grounds is earmarked to host Baringo County University
Unconfirmed reports say proposed establishement of Baringo University may delay a little longer owing to unsettled political disputes.
Recently students protested at Seretunin teachers college dismissing plans to have the institution host the first 'University' admissions this coming July, pending contruction of the main University college premises at Kabarnet High school grounds.
Moi University was earmarked to midwife installation of Baringo University College but lacked public trust on the ground due to instition's alleged mismanagement, instead locals suggest either University of Eldoret or Kabianga University to take over.
Earlier on, the County University was proposed to go to Baringo National Polytechnic-Kapsoo or expqnsive Egerton University's Chemeron campus land in Marigat, Baringo South.
