Malava residents are eagerly awaiting for Independence Electoral and Boundaries Commission verdict to allow them conduct the much awaited by-election.

Elders from Malava while meeting the aspiring MP Rhyan Injendi Malulu in a guiding and counselling session held at his late father’s homestead, they stated that they were optimistic that the courts will be fair enough to give a date for the by election considering that they were ready to vote for their preferred candidate to represent them in the national assembly.

The male elders meeting comes shortly after the women one which was also held at the same venue with a major aim of panel beating and strategizing on how best the aspirant can maneuver amongst the many candidates (32)vying for the same seat to become their leader.

Elders consultative meeting agreed that the team will hit the ground running immediately the date for the by election is announced.

“We are happy with what we have so far and we are hoping the tomorrow decision to give nod to IEBC to conduct the by election will be a big plus to us considering that we are all set and ready to traverse the constituency search of more votes in favour of our candidate” said Simon Imbusi.

On his part the aspiring candidate Rhyan confirmed that he has been meeting elders drawn from different part of Malava and who are his supporters to advise and deliberate o how best they can win the coming by election.

“My candidature has been received well on the ground and from where we stand we are ready to face off our opponents, and I want to thank my supporters for fully standing by my aspirations and it is my commitment to them that I will deliver to them as their leader.

He said he had opted to seek professional advice from the elderly as it was one of the strongest pillar his father used to clinch power.

Commenting on the IEBC, he said the decision was key not only in Malava, but across the country as many constituencies and wards have been operating without their elected leaders for quite some time.

“We will be happy if a date is set for the by election and also for the splitting of some constituencies including Malava which has been also earmarked to be divided into East and West Kabras constituencies respectively due to its high population and this will also bring more development within, all I ask Kenyans is to observe the rule of law as Kenya is a free democratic country for us all.

He concluded by assuring his supporters that he was going all the way to the ballot as a young person since the Kenya Kwanza administration has given leadership priority and budgetary allocation to the young leaders of the nation.
