Professionals in Baringo have called on Professor Daniel Chebutuk led task force to fast track Baringo County University establishment.

CPA Richard Koech called on leaders of Baringo County to resist from politics that may derail the establishment of Baringo University.

"Push and pull will not yield any fruits in the establishment of our university. Other counties have resolved theirs and now enjoying it's fruits," added CPA Koech.

His sentiments were echoed by another scholar Mrs Rebecca Lomong.

Ms Rutto said that the establishment of the university will create job opportunities to the locals and improvement of the county's economy.

Koech called on the task force to give the university a universal name that will attract students hence high enrolment.

Baringo County is prone to insecurity occasioned by cattle rustling.

But speaking in the same venue, professor Daniel Chebutuk urged leaders to be patient as the task force finalises on the location.
