From Baringo to Spain, Aldrine Kibet Dribbles His Way Up
His mental capability, resilience, and hard work have granted him all-round merit, from the field to his academic life.

Having owned the craft of playing football at a very tender age, Aldrine Kibet has ensured his passion for football has been noticed and appreciated internationally.
Aldrine gives credit to his parents for the prop up that gave birth to the person he is today. His mother has always shown support from the sidelines when he is on the field, regardless of the popularity of the match.
His father, Christopher Komen, for being a partial coach, has chipped in with additional training and guidance that keeps him going.
His mental capability, resilience, and hard work have granted him all-round merit, from the field to his academic life.
Late 2023, he captained his school team (St. Anthony Boys), into the National level where they were named champions, with his efforts awarding him Most Valuable Player (MVP).
He portrayed an impressive score and assists sheet of 25 and 27 respectively.
The Kenya under 18 (U18) midfielder’s remarkable performance on the pitch won him an opportunity to represent the country at the Council of Southern Africa Football (COSAFA) Cup.
“My name is Aldrine Kibet, I am a 17 years old footballer. I came back in the beginning of July, we had a game in South Africa, the COSAFA Tournament.
Unfortunately, we didn’t go through, so I am on a short holiday here at home before I go back to Spain,” he said.
The 17-year-old acquired a spot at the Nastic Sports Academy in Spain where he is honing his talent.
He has proven his ability to attain the Top scorer and MVP award of the Valladolid International Cup in Madrid.
Taking into account his inspiration has always been Lionel Messi. He visions his future closely to that of Messi, as he dreams of playing for Barcelona.
Kibet also works towards turning his dream to win a major International title, into a reality.

Aldrine’s favorable outcome puts him in a position to mentor other young footballers who share his dream of thriving abroad.
He has showcased his efforts of having as many young Kenyans on board, by conducting informative visits to various institutions.
He recently visited Moi Education Centre, where he opined on the importance of balancing between education and sports.
This comes as the school prepares for the long-awaited Moi Cup Tournament to be held on August 2024.
His presence at Moi Education Centre has been highly cherished as his beliefs and principles align with those of the school towards embracing excellence both in class events and outdoor activities.
