Hope for Expectant Mothers as Linda Mama Program Receives sh2.6 Billion Boost

Expectant mothers across the country have a reason to celebrate following the revitalization of Linda mama program under the Social Healthy Authority.
The National Treasury has allocated Ksh 2.6 billion to enroll Vulnerable pregnant women into indigent health care initiative designed to provide free maternity services for the needy.
The rejuvenated program, currently being piloted at Pumwani maternity Hospital is expected to enhance access to quality prenatal and postnatal care reducing maternal and infant Mortality rates.
Authorities have assured the public that the initiative will soon be rolled out nationwide ensuring no mother is left behind in accessing essential health care services.
This move marks significant step towards achieving universal health care and improving maternal health care outcomes in Kenya.
