Kenya and UK Renew Strategic Partnership
Kenya and the United Kingdom have renewed their strategic partnership, setting the momentum for more bilateral trade and investment

Kenya and the United Kingdom have taken a significant step forward in their strategic partnership, aiming to enhance bilateral trade and investment.

This renewed pact, which follows the 2020–2025 framework, is poised to stimulate growth in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector and strengthen joint efforts in global and regional peace and security.

The pivotal moment came during a meeting on Tuesday between President **William Ruto** and UK Prime Minister **Keir Starmer** at 10 Downing Street in London. This encounter marked a commitment to deepen cooperation and explore new avenues for collaboration.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, who also serves as the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs, emphasized the importance of the visit to King's Cross Railway City.

This experience provided President Ruto and the senior government delegation with valuable insights into world-class urban regeneration and integrated transport systems.

Mudavadi stated, "This experience feeds directly into our vision for the upcoming Nairobi Railways City, an ambitious, multimodal hub designed to reshape the future of mobility, commerce, and urban living in Kenya’s capital."

Set to span 438 acres—four times the size of the current Central Business District—the Nairobi Railways City represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to construct a modern, green, and inclusive city. Mudavadi highlighted that this initiative reflects Kenya's broader commitment to sustainable infrastructure, job creation, and smart urban growth.

As both nations solidify their partnership, the renewed commitment promises not only to enhance economic ties but also to foster a collaborative environment for addressing global challenges. The future looks bright for Kenya and the UK, as they work together towards shared goals of prosperity and security.
