Ksh60 million MoU for Rural Electrification Kericho
MOU will oversee the distribution of electricity in the areas least served.

County government of Kericho and renewable energy corporation(REREC) sign a Ksh60 million Memerundum of Understanding(MoU) for rural electrification in Kericho County.
REREC and the County Government of Kericho donated Ksh30 million each in a function held outside governors office,Wednesday.
Chief Officer REREC Dr Rose Mkala Kericho governor Dr. Eric Mutai jointly signed the MOU.
The MOU will oversee the distribution of electricity in the areas least served in the distribution of electricity power.
According to Kericho Governor Dr Eric Mutai, the marginalized areas of Sigowet/Soin and Kipkelion sub counties will be given first priority in the power distribution.
Ainamoi,Belgut,Bureti and Kipkelion East which are over 60 percent poor distribution will follow suit.
REREC CO Dr Rose Mkala said the corporation targets areas believed to have been marginalized in electricity distribution top in the list are Northern parts of Kenya and Coast.
