Baringo Central legislator Joshua Kandie urges his constituents to embrace learning German language in order to tap numerous opportunities in Germany.
He said it could open gates for them, including scholarships to study in Germany and get access to international job markets.
Speaking while delivering a week-old chicks to farmers at Kabarnet Musium grounds, Kandie emphasized that mastering German language would give residents an edge in securing various employment opportunities abroad.
He said fields such as engineering ,information technology, nursing, and even driving were on high demand for skilled workers who speak German.
"The German language will not only open doors for education but also enhance your chances for securing better- paying jobs in German and other German speaking countries," Kandie said.
He further encouraged youth to take advantage of many scholarship programs offered by german institutions, particularly in fields that are in high demand.
The call comes as part of an ongoing effort to empower Baringo central residents with skills that will increase their employability and foster international connections.
As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, he said learning foreign languages like German could prove to be a valuable asset for many local residents seeking a brighter future abroad.
