Government will Address University Staff Salary Issues- CS Ogamba
Ogamba asks lecturers to consider calling off the strike so as to safe the university from the suffering and agony they were undergoing through .

Education Cabinet Secretary Mr.Julius Migos Ogamba has assured University staff members that the government is determined to address their salary issues and other matters they have raised.
Ogamba said consultations were at the advanced stage of unlocking the current stalemate between the government and the university dons over their Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which they had said signed with the government .
“I want to tell the university staff union members that my ministry means well about their demands and welfare, and very soon, the matter will be addressed once and for all “Ogamba stated.
Addressing journalists in Nyamira town in Nyamira county after witnessing the dispatch of KCSE examination papers in Nyamira South sub-county, Ogamba asked lecturers to consider calling off the strike so as to safe the university from the suffering and agony they were undergoing through .
The CS also expressed his concern and worry over claims by medical students in Moi University that they have spent more time in university than the stipulated time they are supposed to complete their courses because of strikes.
“My ministry has launched investigations into the matter and issued warning that those found culpable will face full force of the law” he added.
Ogamba also dismissed rumors which was being peddled that this year’s KCSE Examinations had leaked, saying what was there was early exposure and those involved have been dealt with.
“Those who were implicated in the early exposure of the examination papers have been arrested and arraigned in court “ He added.
He later visited Nyaikuro high school in Manga sub-county in Nyamira county where he witnessed the kicking off Geography paper one.
He also commissioned the grade nine classroom at Riomoro primary school in Manga sub-county .
The CS was accompanied by county commissioner Mr.Erastus Mbui,TSC county director Mrs.Catherine Mwende and the county director of education Mr.Joshua Kagaa.
