Political rivalry between Malava Mp Malulu Injendi and aspirant Kenya union of nurses KNUN Secretary General Seth Kuka Panyako has taken a new twist after allegations of the latter stepping down went viral.
The two are embroiled in a tough political tussle over the 2027 constituency leadership.
Panyako was responding to the social media platforms allegations purportedly having been peddled by the Mp diehards that he had thrown in the towel in favour of the Mp come 2027 polls.
Agitated unionist slammed the rumours as baseless and only intended to cause confusion amongst his camp.
In responds to the allegations, Panyako stated that the propaganda spread around by Malulu supporters "that I have stepped down for him is a true indication that they have run out of ideas and they have no agenda for the people of Malava".
"I want to ask Malulu to release bursary funds to needy children instead of using the 14 Million to bribe voters at the expense of the education of less privileged children”
Panyako who has earlier locked horns with the Mp in the 2022 losing narrowly before moving to court where he lost.
He accused the Mp of failing to resonate with the electorates, cautioning him that he was coming for his seat in 2027.
“You have been in active politics for the three terms and you have done very little for our people, its time you pave way for new and fresh blood,” he pointed.
He said he was prepared to take the leadership mantle of the constituency as the Mp has fallen out of favour with the electorates after his decision to support of the finance bill among other crucial issues that affects cane farmers.
“Malava people are tired of your nonperformance as all you can brag about is CDF funds which you use to construct classrooms and purchase buses, this is our taxpayers cash that is a right to each and every constituency.
He further accused the Mp of colluding with contractors to fleece the road networks levies.
“Most parts of the constituency are in bad shape because you authorized the awarding of tenders to amateur contractors of which you are given kickbacks prohibiting contractors from carrying out substandard works.
“It is only me who has the political muscle to send Malulu home for good, leave alone these other young people roaming around in the name of aspiring to be the next Mp and they should instead join ranks with me and uproot the long overdue Mp” he stated.
