County Commissioner Dr. Eddyson Nyale set the tone for the event.
He highlighted the President's vision for Kenya to ascend among the world's leading economies by prioritizing provision of decent and affordable housing to its citizens.
"The President intends to see a minimum of 200,000 units constructed annually to achieve a true face of bottom-up lifestyle change," said Dr. Nyale
Dr. Janeth Kosgei, the County Executive Committee Member for Lands, Physical Planning, Housing, and Urban Development, echoed Dr. Nyale's sentiments.
She emphasized the significance of the Affordable Housing program for future generations.
Dr. Kosgei reaffirmed the department's readiness to undertake the tasks outlined within the program, underscoring the Governor's unwavering commitment to ensuring the success of the initiative.
The public participation event witnessed active engagement from representatives spanning various sectors, including sub-county authorities, the business community, the Chamber of Commerce, religious leaders, civil society groups, persons with disabilities (PWDS), transporters, academia, and technical experts.
