West Pokot: Governor Kachapin Pledges Collaboration In Fight Against Insecurity
Governor Simon Kachapin expressed his full commitment to closely working with National Government to address insecurity and foster development.
This followed his meeting with the incoming County Commissioner Abdulahi Khalif and outgoing County Commissioner Apollo Okelo at the Governor’s Residence, Kapenguria.
Kachapin extended a warm welcome to the new commissioner, who previously served as DCC in West Pokot County and pledged his full support.

The county’s collaboration with the National Government has seen security improvements along border areas where, as a result, security has greatly improved.
Present during the meeting were Pokot Central Deputy County Commissioner Jeremiah Tumo, David Boen DCC-Pokot South, Sheila Imbaga-DCC Kipkomo, Keneth Kiprop- DCC Kacheliba representative, and Emily Ogola DCC West Pokot.
