Baringo Leaders, Residents Rally Behind Raila Odinga in AU Chair Quest
Raila vied for 2022 elections but lost to President William Rutto in a highly polarised election.

Baringo leadership and residents extend their support for African Union Commission hopeful Rt Hon. Raia Odinga candidacy a head of the forthcoming election slated for Saturday.
The Orange Democratic Movement flag bearer, unsuccessfully vied for 2022 elections but lost to President William Rutto in a highly polarised election.
Led by Baringo nominated Member of County Assembly Cynthia Kiptui, they lauded President William Rutto for journeying with Odinga in his guest for the coveted AU Chairmanship position.
Ms Kiptui stated that President Ruto and Odinga working relationship is good for Kenyans.
"Their working relations have brought peaceful coexistence among Kenyans," said the legislator.
Sentiments echoed by Erick Koros, who said that the former prime minister has brought good governance in Kenyan politics.
"We kenyans of good will wish Former Prime Minister all the best in the forthcoming AUC chairmanship elections as he is the right person for the seat," said Mr Koros.

The chairmanship position has attracted three candidates; Rt Hon Raila Odinga, Kenya, Mahamoud Ali Youssouf from Djibouti, and Richard Randriamandrato of Madagascar.
Odinga is former Kenyan Prime Minister who served between 2008 to 2013 and also former African Union High Commission Representative between 2018 to 2023.
Richard Randriamandrato is the former foreign minister of Madagascar.
This AU position is currently held by Mousa Faki Mahamat of Chad.
