Outgoing Kabarnet municipality manager, Mr. Julius Bolei retires after diligently serving his five-year term. Salome Tomno takes charge in acting capacity.
During his tenure, Bolei, together with his committee, lobbied for the first ever Kabarnet town recreation park, construction of modern market stalls, sale market, repair, and painting of the fire station.
Other achievements are the construction of non motorised walkways between Anyiny and car wash, Kaptimbor foot bridge, installation of street lights in Kabarnet Central Business District, non motorised walkways between Monument and Ratabei.
However, Arch Reuben Rutto, who represented Governor Cheboi, congratulated the committee, saying, "they are ladies and gentlemen of integrity."
He said the astute committee, whose major role is partnership and resource mobilization, still lacks adequate funding.
