Beware of Individuals Greedy for Power, Keter tells Kenyans
Kenyans should stand up and protect the peace and tranquility in their midst from individuals brewing for instability for their own personal interest.

Kenyans have been advised to jealously protect peace and tranquillity and shun individuals out to sow seeds of discord in the country.
President William Ruto's Great Lake Region Affairs Advisor Charles Keter advised Kenyans not take for granted the prevailing peaceful environment.
Keter noted that some conflict ridden nations are crying and yearning for peace, which seems elusive because of the hard stand taken by individual leaders greedy for powers and resources.
He disclosed first-hand information after visiting the feuding nations that no socio-economic progress taking place but a trail of mass destructions of properties, including senseless loss of lives.
“Such an eye-sore scenarios must and should not be allowed permeate into our fabric society even an infinitesimal only if we all remain patriotic and embrace spirit of dialogue, give and take in resolving our issues," he stressed.
Speaking over the weekend during a burial ceremony in Kericho county, Keter stated Kenyans should stand up and protect the peace and tranquility in their midst from individuals brewing for instability for their own personal interest.
“You are lucky to gather here now to give your loved one such a descend send-off ceremony due to prevailing peaceful environment such a gathering in a conflict embroiled nation, tooting guns and bomb explosions are orders of the day,” he remarked.
Keter advised politicians to be at the forefront in preaching for peace and shun divisive politics on tribal lines.
Hails Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga for joining the government saying broad base government would not only foster peace and tranquility but also serve as a role model system of governance to be emulated other nations.
The former Energy Cabinet Secretary urged feuding leaders to embrace the spirit of dialogue, give and take in resolving their socio-economic and political differences for the sake of peace a fertile ground for socio-economic growth for any society and nations.
The Great Lake Region included Ethiopia, Sudan, Rwanda Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. Others Mozambique, Somalia, including Malawi.
