Criminal Suspects Flee from Speeding Probox Elgeyo-Marakwet-Baringo border

Police are pursuing two criminal suspects who alighted and escaped from a get-away probox with three suspicious registration number plates at Munyek centre, Elgeyo-Marakwet-Baringo border Tuesday.
According to locals, the huge-bodied men were riding in high speed along Kabarnet, Oinobmoi-Kapkayo route, using probox vehicle with altered registration numbers KDK 295B(original) and KDJ429U (fake) and KDB 366S, before residents received alerting calls around 2pm.

Kapkayo resident Patrick Moi said they tried to barricade the road with huge stones, but the speeding car jumped over.
"We pursued with motobikes, but they alighted from the car and fled away towards flouspher, Elgeyo-Marakwet" Moi said.
Police at the scene, however, intercepted 8 simcards, two national identity cards, and two television sets.
The incident occurs barely a day after police officers in Mogotio, Baringo, arrested two suspects in possession of a gun on Monday, September 16, 2024, around 2 PM.
Their vehicle's tire burst at the Nakuru-Ravine Junction, then police caught up with them.

The suspects had been under surveillance from their alleged hideout in Kituro area in Baringo Central.
A pistol, two bullets, and the motor vehicle they were riding on were recovered during the operation.
