Governor Jonathan Bii Fabricates Eldoret to Fit City Status Cloth

This occurred at the first Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) exhibition which was held in Eldoret town.

Uasin Gishu Governor, H.E. Jonathan Bii Chelilim bejewelled the two-day exposition expressing the pride Eldoret takes in experiencing favorable climate, hence intensified agribusiness and agro-processing input.

Having met the requirements for attaining city status, Eldoret’s future shines bright as the already effective infrastructure, road network, airport, and the availability of raw materials are set to experience a significant expansion. 

Eldoret has additionally leveled at par with the high rank by demonstrating its capacity to generate income with an impressive revenue collection of 1.4B, a figure that will increase in the near future following the incentivization of the business community, MSMEs taking the front seat.

Governor Bii additionally stated Eldoret’s all-rounded excellence in academia, sports, health, agriculture, and industrial development, all doing good to its economic growth.

“Eldoret is also an academic center, a medical hub, a sports pivot, an agricultural performer, as well as a business hub in the region. Let us industrialize and make our city an industrial city,” stated Governor Bii.

The County boss called upon the local community to exalt the public spirit by showing up in large numbers during the conferment event to be held at Eldoret Sports Club.  

Eldoret’s elevation has been welcomed by the larger North Rift counties, especially taking into account that this will broaden the economic development base in that direction.
