Kisii: A gang of robbers loots wine from an SDA church.

On April 11, 2024, the council of religious elders of the Seventh Day Adventist SDA Church in Masaba South, Kisii County reported that thugs had broken into the church and stolen several church property. 

Wine and musical instruments were among the items taken during the heist at the SDA Church.

According to the police report, the event was reported by Ben Mongeri, an elder of Motonyoni SDA Church.

Mongeri informed the police that a suspected criminal broke into the church on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at night. 

"They (thieves) smashed their way in through the window before ransacking the vaults and cupboards inside the church and stashing away anything they deemed precious," Mongeri went on to say.

 

Police indicated that they have initiated an inquiry into the situation with the goal of apprehending those responsible for robbing the chapel.

Masaba South police commander Sammy Gitonga stated that no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the event.

Meanwhile, several church members requested pastors to pray for the suspects to repent, quit their criminal acts, and return stolen things to the church.
