Kakamega County Deputy Governor Ayub Savula has dismissed claims that opposition will win the 2027 general election, saying it’s a mere pipe dream.

Savula spoke at the homecoming ceremony of West Kabras MCA Elphas Shalakha where he rubbished the united opposition as a temporary outfit that will not last to see 2027 polls.

Savula said it was impossible to unseat President William Ruto and that he will finish his second term and finish his development programmes initiated in the constituency.

“We are ready to face off with the opposition and even if Uhuru Kenyatta funds them, it won’t outwit us and we will deliver the winning votes in favour of Ruto"  he said.

The outspoken politician however took a swipe at former President Uhuru Kenyatta for sabotaging the current leadership.

He said he had ditched Dap Kenya for (UDA) as he realized it was the most popular party in the country.

Savula said the just ended by election which saw (UDA) clinch all the seats was a taste of what was coming in 2027.

Likuyani Mp Innocent Mugabe accused the former President for playing divide and rule politics to weaken Ruto’s popularity countrywide.

It is very unfortunate that Uhuru is behind the ongoing divisions where he is sponsoring candidates against (UDA) ones as witnessed in Isiolo where the (UDA) candidate was pitied against his own sister who contested the same seat on a Jubilee party and despite the former winning he said it was a bad show as it could trigger bad blood between the two and this is the kind of politics we want to completely shun.

He warned Uhuru against extending his political divisions to Western as they were in support of William Ruto.

Malava Mp David Ndakwa warned Malala against traversing Malava with the intention of selling DCP propaganda to them.

“I am the Malava Mp and the voters here knows that they have leaders who can give them direction, we will not allow you to come here and attack our voters” he warned.

Kakamega county governor Fernandez Barasa has agreed to offset the medical bills of the injured voters in the West Kabras by election.

Kakamega county governor Fernandez Barasa exchanges with Presidential aide Farouk Kibet at the West Kabras ward Mca homecoming ceremony

“We know you are behind the Edwin Sifuna’s faction that you’re sponsoring to spoil votes for Ruto and we are aware of your plan your plans to backbite the broad based government for your selfish gains" he said.

Barasa said it was a shame to see politicians hiring hit-men and goons to attack voters during election period.

The governor took issue with the democratic citizens party (DCP) deputy party leader and called on the security apparatus to swing into action and apprehend Malala for the alleged heinous acts.

He warned that as broad based government they will not allow their voters to be attacked and humiliated for voting for their favourite candidates.

The (ODM) County chairman assureds the President that Kakamega was fully locked behind him and will deliver 99% of the votes to secure his second term in office.

The working combination of (ODM) and (UDA) through the broad based government under the leadership of Oburu Odinga is in full support of the President’s second term in office and will ensure that he is re-elected.

He told off the opposition that they had no chance of unseating Ruto since they were all greedy for leadership.

He hailed the Mca elect West Kabras Elphas Shalakha and promised to work with him at the county level.

The Presidential aide Farouk Kibet called on the Mulembe support in giving President William Ruto second term in preparations for their turn come 2032.

“The Kakamega governor please work closely with the President to bring leadership home as it is time for the Mulembe nation to ascend to power after the current leaves office”

He said the close working relationship between the Kalenjins and Luhyas will enable the Mulembe people to ascend to power definitely.
