The court clears DJ Joe Mfalme of all charges over death of a DCI officer.

A court has cleared Joseph Mwendwa, also known as DJ Joe Mfalme, of all charges related to the death of the DCI officer.
This occurred during a court verdict on Monday, April 8, 2024, at the Kibera Law Court.
DJ Joe Mfalme and his co-accused were charged in court after being imprisoned for 14 days while police investigated the case.
Dj Joe Mfalme was charged alongside Allan Ochieng, Eric Gathua, Simon Wanjiru, and cops Khadija Abdi Wako, Sammy Rotich, and Agnes Mogoi.
After 14 days of investigation, Renson Mulele, Director of Public Prosecutions, has proposed that Dj Joe Mfalme and five other co-accused serve as state witnesses.
On March 16, DJ Mfalme and his colleagues were going home to Kikuyu when they were involved in a small accident.

According to Fredrick Kosen, a police officer assigned to DCI Dagoretti, following the crash, a confrontation occurred, with Allan, Eric, Simon, and DJ Joe assaulting the deceased.
Later, news of Joe and his gang's arrest spread on March 23, with information emerging that the DJ and his team allegedly roughed up Kabete DCIO Felix Kelian, who later died.
However, the DPP has also requested that the first accused, Allan Ochieng, be charged with the murder of the late Senior Cop assigned to DCI Dagoretti.
