Wajackoyah invites DP Gachagua for a cup of tea at Mumias
By Rural Times News Reporter
In an unusual occurrence in Kenya's political environment, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua met with former Roots Party Presidential Candidate George Wajackoyah and exchanged pleasantries.
The mourners who arrived in Nyandarua County for the funeral of Priesthood Church Bishop JJ Gitahi's mother were able to experience this firsthand.
Prof Wajackoyah fondly remembered shaking DP Gachagua's hand during the service.
"My friendship with the Deputy President has begun today, this is the first I have shaken the hand of this man and I thought he will slap me," he went on to say.
Prof. Wajackoyah went on to extend an olive branch to the man affectionately known as Riggyg among Kenyans.

I'm giving an olive branch to you, my brother, that politics extends outwards, but we're well in Kenya. "I invite you to Mumias for a cup of tea with the Wanga people."
While responding to Prof. Wajackoyah, the second in charge told him that he is not a nasty guy who deserves to be slapped. But he was quick to point out the point of contention he has with him.
"I am not a bad person, and you are not a horrible man. I just scared you because of how you spoke about bhang [during the 2022 Presidential races], and you are aware of our bhang situation. I'll phone you and ask about the nice bhang you mentioned."
While admitting he is "not very intelligent, I haven't learned a lot," Gachagua begged Prof. Wajackoyah to help him comprehend whatever type of narcotic medication he was asking for.
Prof. Wajackoyah's presidential campaigns focused on decriminalising marijuana, practicing snake farming, and embracing agricultural technology as the only way to save Kenya's economy.
