Leaders from the vast Mulembe nation have continued to heap blame on the leader of majority Kimani Ichung’wa over his attack on TransNzoia governor George Natembeya.
The latest one to add voice to the raging debate is Kakamega County nominated MCA Victoria Zillah.
Zillah who is DAP Kenya national youth leader has cautioned Ichungw’a over his blatant attacks on Natembeya during a funeral of national assembly speaker Moses Wetangula’s mother in Kabuchai that was attended by President William Ruto among other dignitaries.
Zillah rubbished the verbal attacks on Governor Natembeya and asked Ichungw’a to respect Western leaders.
How can somebody just come all the way from Central to Western to come and abuse our ;leaders and we are sitting quite, this is disrespect of the highest order and as DAP Kenya we will not tolerate that, Natembeya was right and there was reason for Ichungw’a to dress him down that way.” She thundered.
The youth leader confirmed that indeed they were concerned with the ongoing abductions, and Natembeya was only questioning the government to know exactly what was happening.
“We are not going to sit and keep quite as our fellow youths keep o disappearing and being found deadly mysteriously and when leaders like George Natembeya brings the issue up, he is attacked by the William Ruto administration sympathizers, we need answers to these mysteries and we will not relent until justice for the youths is done.” She stated.
She defended Natembeya’s statement that criticized leaders who were using funerals and churches to ask for development when they have enough time in parliament to do so.
“It is true that when you’re in the national assembly you totally forgets the aspirations of your electorates and you only tend to shed crocodile tears by asking for development in such forums, its not only unprofessional but primitive too” said Zillah.
She called on Ichungw’a to concentrate on the central issues and leave the Mulembe leaders alone as they were able to plan and decide for themselves.
“Leaders should be accountable for their actions and development to the people should be given first priority and since the shooting down of the finance bill by the Gen Z through demonstration has been the root cause of the young people’s problems, we will continue to demand the government to release al, those young people abducted” She said.
Also pointed out that Western region was underdeveloped, and instead of leaders bringing development, they were busy abusing their leaders.
She assured the residents that DAP Kenya of which Dr. Enock Makanga will contest his seat was steady fast and keenly eying the leadership of the country.
