A lorry runs over a pedestrian and kills him on the spot in Siaya.

One person was killed in an accident in Bondo, Siaya County yesterday. 

Police say the unidentified man was hit by a truck at the Malaika stage.

County police chief Cleti Kimaiyo stated that the man tripped and fell on the road before being run over by the rear wheels.

"The driver, Winter Otieno, was heading towards the Bondo police station. "The truck ran over the man, killing him on the spot," Kimaiyo stated.

Irate members of the public attacked the driver with kicks and strikes, leaving him with significant head injuries. 

The deceased's body was brought to the Bondo Sub County Hospital mortuary for an autopsy and identification.
