Gachagua officially opens the Talanta Motorsport Academy.

On Wednesday, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua officially opened the Talanta Motorsport Academy at the Kenya Academy of Sports' Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.
The DP stated that the country is rich with sporting potential in a variety of disciplines, and that the government is eager to capitalize on that skill.

"The Talanta Motorsport Academy, to be housed at the Kenya Academy of Sports, captures President William Ruto's administration's sole endeavour to refine talented individuals and make them extra competitive globally," said the president.

The DP stated that the Academy will provide young rally drivers with the finest advice, information, and assistance to help them win World Rally Championships.
"As the 71st Safari Rally Edition kicks off, we look ahead to the best World Rally Championship especially now that it is being held during the traditional Easter Season," he went on to say.

Leaders in attendance were Sports CS Ababu Namwamba, Sports Principal Secretary Peter Tum, and MPs Dan Wanyama (Chairman of the National Assembly Sports Committee, Webuye West), Bishop Jackson Kosgey (Nominated), and Richard Yegon (Bomet East).
Kenya Motorsport Federation Chairperson Maina Muturi, FIA Vice President Rodrigo Rocha, veteran rally drivers Patrick Njiru and Asad Anwar, and representatives from the WRC and FIA, among others.
