Governor Chelilim Rolls out 165M Busary Fund

Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii rolls out sh165m-worth governor's bursary programme to benefit 23,330 students in the county.
Speaking during the exercise in Segero/Barsombe and Ziwa Wards, Bii highlighted that students from secondary schools and tertiary institutions will benefit from the funds.
According to him, providing the students with the support they need will enable them to pursue their academic dreams and will not only bring transformation in their lives but also the community.

"We want to bring impact in our society by empowering our children," Bii alluded.
The county boss emphasized the importance of investing in education and providing students with equal opportunities to pursue their academic goals.
He hinted at his endeavour to increase the kitty to Khs 200m to support more needy students.
By supporting these students with financial assistance, he hopes to alleviate some of the financial burdens they may face and enable them to focus on their studies.
The governor also urged the beneficiaries of the bursary to use the funds wisely and to prioritize their education.
He emphasized the importance of hard work and perseverance in achieving success and encouraged the students to take full advantage of the educational opportunities that have been made available to them.
