I’m ready to face Ruto in 2027 polls, says Wamalwa

Democratic Alliance Party of Kenya DAP-Kenya party leader Eugene Wamalwa has announced that he is ready to face President William Ruto in the coming 2027 general election.
Wamalwa said the Mulembe nation will not wait up to 2032 to contest for the Presidential seat as the country was headed the wrong direction.
Speaking in Shipala location Malava constituency when the party drummed up support for its candidate for the Malava by election legislative seat Seth Panyako, Wamalwa stated that the current status of the nation does not warrant President Ruto another term in office as many Kenyans have been subjected to harsh taxation amid the growing unrest among many families due to cruel economic times.

He took a swipe at both the speaker of the national assembly Moses Wetangula and prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi for agreeing to support President William Ruto’s second term up to 2032 and optioned that it was important to cushion Kenyans from the bad leadership imposed on them by President Ruto.
The Kakamega senator Dr. Boni Khalwale who has of late become the broad based government harsh critic said the united opposition was the way to go to salvage Kenyans and called for the outsiders to respect the will of the people of Malava.
Malava people should be given their ample time to choose their leader not being forced to vote for a government project (David Ndakwa) whom he termed as a political puppet for Farouk Kibet and President William Ruto.
He wondered what interest the state has in Malava parliamentary by election citing that UIDA has withdrawn its candidates in Moiben and Keiyo South. “We are the carriers of the Luhya agenda so stop bringing Kalaenjin politics to us here, we will decide our destiny as Mulembe nation” he warned.
Khalwale said the ongoing political meetings in hotels within Malava and Kaburengu will bear no fruits to the government side as the political funds released by the government to campaign for their candidate was being squandered by a few individuals.
“Mr. President let me tell you the bare truth the people you send to campaign for our candidate have turned the campaign funds into their own cash and even the candidate has been given funds of which he is using to build a house instead of campaigning and hence they will not deliver the Malava seat to you” he said.
He said Seth Panyako has been ranked top contender by the recent opinion polls and his popularity was still growing as he continues to resonate well with the electorates.
Khalwale called on the Luhya unity ahead of the 2027 polls warning that other tribes had started putting their house in order eyeing the presidency.
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has of recent past called for the unity of the tribe despite their party affiliations calling for the same from the Mulembe politicians through DAP-Kenya which is their grass root party.
He wondered why Wycliffe Oparanya who has deputized the ODM party leader who just passed on Raila Odinga for 13years was not appointed to lead the party and instead the mandate was bestowed upon Oburu Odinga as the new party leader.
The senator said they were working on modalities on how they can get more gubernatorial seats in the entire Western region with only Vihiga and Busia being the only counties outside their political scope.
He took issue with those (Kanduyi Mp Didmus Barasa) criticizing his calls for the region’s unity. Farouk Kibet and Didmus Barasa are the true enemies of the Mulembe nation as they continue to poke their noses in our business, let them know that this time round we will stand firm as a region to wrestle for the top country’s seat.
The Malava DAP-Kenya candidate Seth Panyako said once elected he will re-introduce Linda Mama services which has since been scrapped by the government.
“I will further table a bill to revive Edu afya which catered for student’s health and also oppose the government recent school fees increment that has caused a major uproar from an already overburdened parents” Panyako said it was obvious that the bottom up economic transformation agenda (BETA) which was introduced by Ruto during his campaigns had failed and instead the government has decided to completely suppress Kenyans through massive taxation.

He also promised to improve health services at the level4 Malava hospital which has become a shell of its own self after the county government failed to maintain it.
He hit out at Kakamega county Fernandez Barasa for embezzling funds meant to complete the Butali Malekha road as well the Malava Dairy which was started by Wycliffe Oparanya when he was the governor.
He expressed hope that he will win the Malava seat despite the government machinery being released to campaign against him.
“It is the government of Kenya against one Seth Panyako and money has been poured to ensure I don’t succeed but we are with the people and it is them who will decide on 27th November.”
