Prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi has told off his opponents for what he termed as blame game meant to taint his name and unwavering support towards the government.

The visibly irked Musalia criticized the kind of politics being peddled against him and speaker Moses Wetangula being the two Luhya front runners that they were blocking upcoming leaders from the region to climb to political stardom.

“I joined politics in my early years as a young man and my loyalty to government saw me being groomed and assisted to grow myself politically relevant and at one point I also found myself in the political cold after making some bad decisions and as you know I ‘am not perfect and from the mistakes I learned my lesson and since then I know which side I should be as far as the country’s political landscape is concerned” he revealed.

He called on those who wish to climb to his ranks in government to walk the talk and build their political portfolio and be in the right team instead of seeing him as standing in their way.

He at the same time called on the support of the William Ruto’s two term bid, especially coming from the Mulembe nation as they were the next beneficiary after the President leaves office in 2032.

“The opposition is hell bend in mudslinging and backbiting the government with crafted propaganda meant to portray the image of our President in bad light and we will not tolerate such cheap kind of politics, let them come out and sell their agenda to Kenya and especially in Malava constituency where they have pitched camp to de-campaign the broad based government formation.

He assured the residents that President William Ruto was still the most popular candidate to be elected in 2027 and will win his second term against those claiming he will only serve one term.

“The only strong opponent who could stand up to face off Ruto was Raila Odinga and we have him on board through the broad based government and the recent meeting with Gideon Moi of (KANU) is a sign that we are growing strong by day ahead of the 2027 polls”, he said.

He cautioned the Western region against entertaining the opposition propagandists who were bringing no development to them but criticizing every development the government side was initiating.

"Don’t let people to come here and abuse me, Wetangula and Ruto and yet they were not offering any solutions to your problems, being in opposition comes with its own share of problems, don’t be lured into it as you will really suffer for that period with very little development being initiated in your constituency” Musalia said.

Helauded the Malava people for nominating David Ndakwa as their UDA candidate and asked them to vote for him come 27november 2025 so as to remain in government.

“Malava has been in government and I know Ndakwa will deliver the seat to the government too, all we ask you is to turn out in large numbers and vote for him” he asked.

He also called on the residents to engage in mass voter registration after the by election to enable the constituency to be split into two.

“Malava, has 93,000 voters currently but after the by election, we will rollout voter registration to push for the numbers to have the two administrative East and West Kabras units being realized into constituencies respectively,” said Musalia.

He further distanced himself as having a hand in the just ended Malava nominations, noting that his interest was on the presidency as he quite fits the bill.
