Uasin-Gushu County elevating Healthcare Finance Management Through Collaboration
In a groundbreaking move aimed at revolutionizing healthcare delivery, the County Government of Uasin Gishu has embarked on a collaborative journey with the USAID HERO Project and Kenyatta University.
This strategic partnership is set to redefine public finance management practices, thereby bolstering the county's healthcare sector and ultimately improving the well-being of its residents.
At the forefront of this initiative is Governor Dr. Jonathan Bii, who emphasized the paramount importance of effective public financial management in advocating for increased investments in healthcare.
Dr. Bii highlighted the partnership's multifaceted approach, which includes strengthening social protection initiatives, optimizing decision-making processes, and raising public awareness on health-related issues.
"By aligning efforts towards these crucial goals the partnership seeks to drive positive transformations in the healthcare system,"said Dr. Bii.
Moreover, the collaboration aims to advocate for the implementation of the Facility Improvement Financing Act (FIFA) at the county level, further enhancing healthcare infrastructure and service delivery.
