Kericho man dies by suicide after losing Sh120,000 to betting

The body of a 24-year-old man was discovered hanging from the roof of his one-room rented house in Majengo, on the outskirts of Kericho town, causing shock and grief among the residents.
Collins Kipkorir is believed to have committed suicide after losing Sh120,000 in aviator gaming on Monday morning.

Kipkorir worked at a Mpesa business in Kericho prior to his death. It is said that he utilised the corporate money to try his luck, but he lost every game.
The deceased's nephew Aron Kosgey said the dead requested his friend to look after the shop while he went to perform some errands in town and would return soon.
"We tried severally to contact him but he was not answering the calls," he claimed.
According to the police investigation, no suicide notes were discovered at the location.
The body was removed and transported to the Siloam Hospital Mortuary for post-mortem examination.
