Police Officer hacked by Her Husband to death

A 30-year-old police officer stationed at the Kiwanja Police Post in Kahawa West, Nairobi County, was hacked to death on Friday by her husband after an alleged disagreement in Webuye, Bungoma County.
The dead, off-duty police constable Tiffany Wanyonyi, and her husband, 40-year-old Jackson Oloitele, had come upcountry to attend the funeral of her late grandmother, who was buried in Misemwa village on Thursday.

The entire sequence of events up to Wanyonyi's gruesome murder is unknown, although police records indicate that an altercation between the two developed into the deadly attack.
"The deceased's body was discovered lying dead on the bed, with several deep cuts on the neck and multiple injuries on the head, which were suspected to have been caused by a sharp object." "A panga suspected of being the murder weapon was recovered from the scene," according to a police report on the incident.
After the incident, Oloitele surrendered to the police.
The deceased's body has been taken to the mortuary at Lugulu Mission Hospital for storage pending a postmortem examination.
